Corner Weights

This is the foundation of the whole app. Enter your four corner weights off the scales and DirtBite instantly gives you total weight, left and rear percentages, cross, and left-rear bite. Per-class scale diagnostics flag if you're way out of the ballpark, and these numbers feed every calculator, Crew Chief, and Pro feature.

Cross Weight & Bite Preview

Test scale changes before you make them. Pick a corner, try a different spring or a few jackbolt turns, and DirtBite previews the new corner weight, cross percentage, and left-rear bite, so you can chase a number without jacking up the car. It reads your scale weights and spring rates, so have those filled in first.

Springs, Ride Height & Shocks

Log your spring rates, shock settings, and ride heights. On Pro, Crew Chief reads them and suggests where to move your springs, rebound, and compression. Those same numbers drive the static and dynamic What-If calculators, while ride heights track day-to-day and print to your PDF setup sheet.

Load Smash

Enter your center-to-center measurements and corner loads at a set amount of smash or droop. Those figures carry into your PDF export and the What-If calculator.

Dynamic Load & Corner-to-Corner (C2C) Analysis PRO

A DirtBite Pro feature that estimates dynamic load without a load stick. It reads your load numbers and spring rates, then lets you run what-ifs: change a spring or dial in jackbolt turns (coarse or fine), and it shows the new load. Or enter a target load and it tells you the turns or spring to get there. Handy for quick changes at the track.

Alignment, Pinion & Suspension Bars

Dial in caster, camber, and toe. DirtBite auto-calculates your caster split and includes a toe calculator that flags when you're out of the normal range. Log your pinion angle and suspension bars too: J-bar, 3/4 link bars, and 5th bar for Late Model and Modified, or trailing-arm position for Stock Car. It all lands on your PDF setup sheet.

Gearing

Pick your rear-end or quick-change gears and transmission ratio to get your final drive. Standard Ford 9"s, GM 7.5", and Winters quick-change sets are all built in. DirtBite Pro adds an RPM and gearing estimator that tells you which gear to run for a target RPM, or what RPM a gear you're eyeing will turn.

Tires

Enter tire pressures (with quarter-pound steppers), stagger, wheel offset, and wheelbase. DirtBite auto-calculates your front and rear stagger (handy for seeing what a bigger or smaller tire does) and factors in spacers to show your actual offset. It all feeds Crew Chief on Pro and rounds out your setup sheet.

Saving, Loading & Sharing Setups

Save, load, and share your setups from the My Setups screen. Tap to load any saved setup, or share one by text or link so it opens with all your data in a teammate's app. On DirtBite Pro, you can also print or save it as a PDF setup sheet. The base version holds up to 10 setups; Pro is unlimited.

Importing a Paper Setup Sheet

Already have setups written down? Open My Setups, scroll to the bottom, and tap Import from Photo. Take a photo of your sheet or pick one from your library, and DirtBite reads the numbers for you in about 10 to 15 seconds instead of you typing them in. You can combine more than one sheet into a single setup, handy when your tire pressures and shocks live on separate pages. How well it reads depends on how clear the handwriting is, so anything that looks off gets flagged and you can fix it before you save.

Asking the AI Crew Chief PRO

Ask Crew Chief a setup question and it answers from the numbers already in your setup, your weights, springs, shocks and the rest, instead of a generic setup chart. It remembers the conversation for that setup, so you can work through a problem across a night at the track. A DirtBite Pro feature.

What is DirtBite?

DirtBite is a dirt track setup app for racers from factory stock through late models. It replaces paper setup sheets, letting you organize, calculate, save, and share your scale weights, chassis, geometry, tires, and gearing, all in one place.

Which classes does DirtBite support?

Factory Stock, Hobby, Limited Mod, Stock Car, Modified, and Late Model. You pick a class when you start a setup, and the app tailors the inputs to it.

Do I need internet to use it?

No. The core of DirtBite works fully offline. Entering weights, building chassis and geometry setups, saving, and loading all happen on your device with no signal required, so it works at the track. Two features do need a connection: Crew Chief (AI) and Scan Import, described below.

How do I save a setup?

Tap the menu icon and choose "Save Setup." You can store up to 10 complete setups on your device for free; DirtBite Pro makes it unlimited.

Will DirtBite remember what I was working on?

Yes. When you reopen the app, it drops you right back where you left off, with your selected class and your last setup, whether or not you'd saved it. No need to re-pick your class every time.

How do I share a setup with a teammate?

Export a .dirtbite file or use a share link to send your exact setup so it loads right into their DirtBite app. Or, on DirtBite Pro, export a PDF setup sheet: a readable copy anyone can open or print, handy for pit boards and crew who don't have the app.

How do I import a setup someone sent me?

Open the .dirtbite file from your messages or email, or tap the share link they sent. Your device will offer to open it in DirtBite. Tap to import, and it loads as a new setup.

What is Crew Chief?

Crew Chief is DirtBite's built-in AI setup assistant. Ask it setup questions and it gives suggestions based on your current numbers. Because it runs in the cloud, it needs an internet connection, and use is subject to a question limit. On DirtBite Pro, if you run out of questions you can top up with a $2.99 question pack.

What is Scan Import?

Scan Import lets you photograph a setup sheet and have DirtBite read the numbers automatically instead of typing them in. You'll find it at the bottom of My Setups under Import from Photo, and you can combine up to three photos into one setup when your numbers are spread across separate sheets. The images are processed in the cloud, so it needs a connection, and there's a monthly scan limit.

Does DirtBite support both imperial and metric?

Yes. You can switch between imperial and metric units in Settings, and your setups display in whichever system you choose.

Is DirtBite free? What is Pro?

DirtBite is free to download and covers the core setup workflow, including up to 10 saved setups. DirtBite Pro unlocks unlimited saved setups, PDF setup sheets, and more for $7.99/month or $59.99/year.

Is my setup data private?

Your setups are stored locally on your device, and DirtBite doesn't upload or sync them anywhere. The only data that leaves your phone is what you actively send to the optional online features: the questions you ask Crew Chief and the setup sheet photos you run through Scan Import, which are sent to our AI providers to process your request.
